Alright, guests. If you've ever come by the infirmary, you know who I am, but for the lucky people who haven't, I'm Sycora Novitas. If you need a doctor, that's where I'll be ninety percent of the time.
So, business.
[There's the sound of papers shuffling, there.]
I'm sure you all remember the plague we had last month. I can assuredly tell you that it will not happen again. Kloe Bishop has been treated and her contagion is suppressed.
But she is not to be harmed in any way. If you attack her, you will be punished, so leave her be.
That's all.
[The following, however, is sealed to Isabella:]
I've worked up a treatment plan. If you don't care about anyone hearing, go ahead and talk to me here -- otherwise, come see me. I'm in the infirmary.

[A half giggle-half whimpered sob. The audio clicks off so Aara can be emotional by herself for a bit The feed clicks on again a moment later.]
Thank you.
[Audio]
Not healed, but close enough. You're welcome.
[Audio]
[A light, trembling laugh.]
So thank you. I am sure Kloe is... very happy and relieved.
[Audio]
I hope so.

[There is absolute trust and faith in what Aara says here. She believes it with everything she has.]
So--for all of us: thanks.

Sycora?
[She is trying to keep that hopefulness out of her voice but she has a set of butterflies that are the size of houses in her stomach and they are not settling down. She's so very anxious.]
Are you around?
[Commentlog]
[Sycora sits on a cot inside, waiting for her patient. When she spots Isabella, she smiles.]
[Commentlog]
Her voice, when she speaks, showcases her nerves if nothing else does.]
Is it good news?
[Commentlog]
[Commentlog]
Truely?! Oh Sycora! This is wonderful news!
[The bard is just a touch overwhelmed and hugs Sycora. She lets go almost as quickly. The bard is almost bouncing in her seat. ]
What has to be done?
[Commentlog]
It's not an easy fix, and it's not fast. I'm afraid I can't guarantee you'll be able to fly again any time soon, either. But... it would require more surgery.
[She sobers.]
I'd have to re-break bones, cut and re-sew tendons, and do a lot of surgeries. It'll be easier, since I can heal you, but they'll have to be done in stages. I don't want to risk excessive blood loss or overdose of medication.

I kept her for testing. During this time, she'd already taken the medicine I gave her, and I made every effort to become infected. As you can hear, I'm not dead, or a flesh-craving beast.
I'm fine, and so is she.

[This is the part where someone should take his friend's advice and think before he speaks.]
[Audio]
Listen. I want to keep the virus contained just as much as you do. When I say she is safe, she is safe. I'm a doctor - I treat people, not lie to them.

A few. People get rowdy when they think they're in danger.
Audio
... You're absolutely sure it's contained?
Audio
How about you? You been holding up alright?
[Not out of crackers yet?]
Audio
If you say so.
Yeah, more or less. Talking pumpkins notwithstanding.
