[A sigh, exasperated.]
Right. Getting this over with.
[She clears her throat, and then speaks with authority, though there's still the film of weariness over her words.]
My name is Sycora Novitas. I'm on the first floor of the Great Keep. Any ill, injured, or infirm parties should report to me. I'm on the first floor of the Great Keep. If you can't get there, give me your location and I'll come to you.
[There's another pause as Sycora drums her fingers against her desk.]
I realize many of you aren't human or even anything close to it. If you want to tell me anything that'll help me take better care of you, do it. Make my life that much easier.
You got any questions, go ahead. Not like I'm sleeping any time soon anyway.

Her eyes go a little wider at the sight of those wings, but then her expression settles into a smile.]
Speaking. Come in.
[Sycora steps aside and pulls the door open for Isabella. The infirmary isn't small, but by no means is it large, either. It's lit with a few torches, just as the rest of the Keep is, and there is a line of cots against one wall. There's a large cabinet off to the side, presumably filled with equipment, and a closed door can be seen.]
So, what do you need, miss...?

Isabella, ma'am
[She gives a small bow of appreciation.]
Thank you again. I am so sorry for bothering you like this.
[Her cheeks color a little.]
I was wondering perhaps if you knew of where there might be some old clothing I may borrow or, perhaps to find a way to pay off? I would also probably need to borrow some sewing supplies to be able to modify them, and I would not want to ruin clothing that someone else may need.
[Her grin is a little sheepish. But this is a question you ask woman to woman. Clothing is important to someone that is only wearing a night-slip and has no shoes. ]

There's a tower just east of here full of that, actually. Most of the ladies' fashion is, ah... restrictive. So if you want something easier to work in, look for men's wear.
[Sycora herself is wearing pants and a tailored shirt plus vest.]
There are supplies in there, too - equipment, cloth, you know. I can't help you with making it, though. [She she is a shit-poor tailor. Sewing was not her strong suit.]

[Was it?]
Oh, my! The clothes there are, free, to use? You have cloth and needle also?
[She's just, taken aback a little by it all, with eyes like a startled deer. Her mouth for once, moving without her thinking so much behind it.]
This is almost too much, my Lady! Is there any thing I may do for you in repayment? I can sew fairly well and I sing if it would please you some night. I have very little else to offer, and nothing of value.
[There is a grateful smile on her face that could guide a ship back to port. ]

Mend a garment here, tailor something there, and I think we'll be even. Still... [here, her grin fades back into a satisfied smile] ...come and sing for me any time you'd like. I'd appreciate the company.

[She grasped one of Sycora's hands with both of her own and in respect she put Sycora's hand to her forehead. ]
Thank you, Lady Sycora!
[She quickly releases Sycora's hand and bounces back up to standing, the quick movement eliciting a cringe of pain that was washed under the current overwhelming wave of appreciation.]
I will come to sing for you, gladly. Whatever your wishes for mending or tailoring, I will do my best to grant. Thank you again, my Lady. I do not wish to keep much longer, or ask you again for another favor so soon after such kindness.
The tower is to the east? Is it easy to find?
[Yes, she is planning on doing this tonight.]

Yeah. Outside the great keep, you go left. When you see a field, you go left again past it, and then you should see some pools. Those're good for bathing in, by the way. The clothier's tower is the one between the pools and the field.

Oh! Thank you Lady Sycora! Thank you so much! This all means a lot for me!
[She would almost dance right there. Such kindness! A real bath! How fortune did smile tonight!
She bowed deeply to Lady Sycora.]

You need anything else?

[The half-angel couldn't stop smiling now if she tried. ]
I have much to occupy me through this night and more! Thank you!

You have a good night, you hear?
[Seeing Isabella so enthusiastic, so happy to be here, is strange, but Sycora is pleased.]

Thank you, My Lady. Pleased to have met you and I hope your night will be well.
[She hasn't stopped grinning. Carefully mindful of the wings she turns and leaves through the door, but not before giving a small joyous wave of farewell.
What an odd place she was in!]
